In this time of big transition in our world, the rise of youth sucide and addiction community soultions are essential and we all have a responsibility. In this world there are those who live golden service - they are well wishers who bring hard conversations and exciting solutions, I am honored to know Chief MacKenzie, a high hearted visonary who lives in a life of service.

Join Chief Robert MacKenzie of the Kennebunk Police Department as he discusses the power of service and empowering community solutions for youth. A leader in the Southern Maine area, his passion and leadership have created innovative partnerships. The mission of the Kennebunk Police Department includes our commitment to working in partnership with all citizens of our community to ensure the effective delivery of exceptional police services. Whenever possible we will let people know how we intend to achieve this, how we are performing in meeting our departmental goals and objectives and what the public can do to assist in these efforts.

In a recent conversation with Chief MacKenzie I asked him what he loves about his work and he told me this

"I feel as though I was meant to serve my community as I always felt the need to help from a young age. I became a junior fireman at 14 year old and became an emergency medical technician at 16, then worked as a firefighter/paramedic before switching over to law enforcement where I have been for the past 34 years. When you do what you love, it does not feel like a job, and helping others is my true calling."
