Ryan recalls a essay from Episode 69 which described many concerns about the requel format, many of which came to bear. Ryan reads through his essay about how the requel formula has slowly died since 2022 and a new era of horror is emerging around “Scream 7.” Then, Jess Melendez joins him to muse over the philosophy and ideas presented in the essay.
