Fossil evidence for evolution. Evolutionists claim that the fossil record provides the most fundamental evidence that evolution occurred. If evolution did indeed occur, we would expect evidence for this to permeate all levels of investigation in the fossil record - from first glance to the finest details. Assuming the fossil record represents long ages, examples of intermediate species in evolutionary transition should be found captured in the rock layers. But is this actually what we see?
