As the former General Superintendent and CEO of the Chicago Park District, David Doig spearheaded major city projects in the early 2000's: the renovation of Soldier Field, the creation of Millennium Park, and even overseeing the mysterious overnight destruction of Meigs Field. These days, he helps coordinate billions in public and private investments as president of Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives, creating jobs and transforming areas like Pullman, Bronzeville and Englewood through inclusive development. In this conversation with Ozinga CEO Marty Ozinga, David describes how an advocacy for affordable home ownership has driven his varied career in real estate, finance and city government.
