For the Assessment Year (AY) 2022–23 and the Financial Year (FY) 2021–22, the last date to file ITR was 31 July 2022. Many people, submitted their tax returns. In accordance with the information available on the income tax website, over 6.16 crore ITRs were filed by 11th September. More than 5 crore ITRs are already managed by the tax department. Assesses are most likely to get a tax refund after furnishing their returns. Tax refunds were not received by some assessees. There are many reasons for IT refunds to be late. Therefore, we are providing a simple and easy process for ITR refund status on the NSDL website or the new income tax e-filing website.
