"That's what we know now" - Ian Avery On the themes and topics Robert Smith bestowed on us...Aging and death. Our boy Ian hits it on the head again. We wax poetic, and gothic. We mourn and celebrate our youth and our old age. The band gets back together again. How do 4 years pass so quickly. Again? We take time to reflect, and ruminate on the impossibly great Cure album "Songs of a Lost World". The maestro dropped on us an album so complete and compelling, and more than a decade and a half from the last full album, that we dive in, letting the oceans of sound wash over us. It moved us. A bunch of aging rock fans, musicians, fathers, friends... We start the conversation with light talk of Transformers and shows of yesteryear, and wrap it up with the targeted discussion that takes us deep into the velvety dark beauty of a band and album that we all admit, are so very, very lucky to have in the world. God bless He-of-the-Smeared-Red-Lipstick.
