This is our very first episode of 🌟 Rockstars of Ethereum 🌟 a show about the journey and awesome work people are doing in Ethereum and Web3.0 ecosystem.
On this episode our founders Harsh Rajat & Richa Joshi are joined by Kevin Owocki, founder of Gitcoin, a project that helps coordinate crowdfunding for projects and software developments on Ethereum blockchain. They help connect folks with the community developing digital public goods, creating financial freedom, and defining the future of the open web.
Kevin talks about Quadratic Funding, the concept of funding digital goods and all things that Gitcoin is doing to fuel the Web3 ecosystem. And we're especially proud of our association with them as we were originally part of Gitcoin Grants Round 7, where we were the grantees and emerged as one of the top 5 projects with 210 contributors!
The contribution and enthusiasm and support from the community, led us to successfully raise our seed round and formed partnerships with not only Gitcoin but many major Web3 protocols.
This journey with Gitcoin led us to believe that we need to give back to the community that gave us so much, thus we really believed that paying it forward would be the best approach to give back to the community and decided to become the grantors of Gitcoin Grants Round 11 and 12, where we sponsored $50K each round.
