Crypto ATMs could be banned in Australia under new powers handed to the government agency, AUSTRAC, amid concerns they're being used for money laundering and terror financing.

According to Minister for Home Affairs, Tony Burke, purchasing cryptocurrency with cash makes it difficult to trace, and crypto ATMs are "a high-risk product."
