The Courage to Confront | Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional | Matthew 18:15-16
Manage episode 513522204 series 3673246
“If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’” — Matthew 18:15–16
Conflict isn’t easy—but it’s essential.
As men, we often shy away from hard conversations, hoping issues will fix themselves or fade over time. But Jesus gives us clear direction: confrontation is not about condemnation, it’s about restoration.
Real brotherhood doesn’t avoid the tough stuff. It faces it—with truth, humility, and love.
Jesus lays out a pattern: start privately, speak directly, and involve others only if necessary. The goal isn’t to win an argument—it’s to win a brother.
When we ignore sin or division, it spreads. But when we confront with courage and compassion, we protect unity, integrity, and the mission God has entrusted to us.
Hard conversations are not a sign of disunity—they’re a sign of maturity.

Take 10 minutes today to pray for clarity and humility. Then write down one name—someone you may need to speak with. Ask God for wisdom, then schedule a time to meet privately and speak the truth in love.
🙏 Prayer:
“Father, give me the courage to confront with love. Help me lead like Jesus—not passive, not aggressive, but full of grace and truth. Let my words restore, not wound. Guide me through hard conversations so unity and healing can grow.”
