Mercy Mismanagement | Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional | Matthew 18:29-30
Manage episode 515372978 series 3673246
The servant in this story was forgiven of an impossible debt — yet when a man owed him just a little, he showed no mercy.
That’s what Jesus calls mercy mismanagement.
In this episode, we unpack what happens when forgiven men forget their own forgiveness.
Mercy isn’t meant to be stored — it’s meant to be shared. And when we refuse to forgive, we forfeit the joy that mercy brings.
Jesus reminds us: grace received must become grace given.
Because the same hands that were once chained by sin are now called to unlock freedom in others.
Reflection Question:
What’s easier for you — to recall what others did to you, or what God did for you?
Daily Challenge:
Write down one person’s name you’ve struggled to forgive.
Then write the list of sins God has forgiven you for.
Pray through both lists — and let grace win.
Mercy isn’t something to manage — it’s something to multiply.
