SOME THINGS ARE JUST HARD TO K I L L
JIM JONES AND HENRY C. PARKE chat with hosts Jim and Bobbi Jean Bell
September 2025 kicks off with two returning guests, True West Magazine Film Editor HENRY C. PARKE and Storyteller JIM JONES.
Tune in for this month's update of what's happening in Western film and TV with co-host HENRY C. PARKE, Film Editor for True West Magazine and author of THE GREATEST WESTERNS EVER MADE AND THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THEM
We all chat with multi-talented and award-winning singer, songwriter, and author JIM JONES. Fans of Western frontier stories will recognize Jim Jones from his prior ‘Moon” series of stories of the West. His newest title, HUNTER’S MOON, adds to his blossoming tales of Jared and Eleanor Delaney’s lives with a focus on finding a new life purpose and avenging murder. This fifth title wraps the series.
About The Book
"Hunter's Moon" heartily embraces all the facets that make for a superior Western story: emotionally compelling characters, discussions of motives and approaches to life, and historical and political revelations that are nicely embedded in the atmosphere of the 1800s."--Midwest Book Review
They say the hunter's moon is a time to find your courage and power; a time to take action and make changes. Jared Delaney has been adrift in the wilderness for the past year, waiting for his life to change. Now he will wait no more. He will take control of that which he can, and hunt down the final outlaw who was responsible for the deaths of his friends, Sheriff Nathan Averill and his wife, Christy.
Set in the late 1880s in the New Mexico Territory, the story is the finale of the Jared Delaney series in which decent, honest folks have to defend their lives and livelihood from the ruthless criminals who would take them. Sometimes, it really is about good versus evil.
