There's a common misconception that certain feelings are bad, negative, or wrong. Feelings are neither good nor bad but if we don't allow ourselves to feel them, compound them by feeling bad for feeling bad, or never process them to better understand them they become an addiction. You think you're not feeling the very feeling you're afraid to feel and yet you're always feeling the very feeling you're afraid to feel.

Read that again. Our feeling create a chemical reaction inside of our bodies and like a drug they become an addiction. Our body needs a hit of certain feelings to maintain a "safe" level.

This causes a heaviness--a density and we carry these feelings like heavy bags of burden and pass the luggage down to our children--generation after generation.
