In this episode, we sit down with Christa Cordova, a spiritual abuse survivor and nationally certified mental health crisis instructor. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Christa teaches QPR for Suicide Prevention and Mental Health First Aid at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Christa shares her powerful journey of healing from spiritual and workplace trauma, including the emergence of PTSD in her late 30s and 40s. Through God’s grace, professional trauma-informed care, and pastoral support, she found healing—and now she’s passionate about helping other women do the same.

We also dive into the intersection of theology and mental health, a topic close to Christa’s heart. She’s currently reading Contemplation and Counseling by Gregg Blanton and finds deep encouragement in Psalm 103—a passage filled with raw emotion and hope.

Tune in for an inspiring conversation about faith, healing, and the importance of seeking care after difficult experiences.
