This is our first recording of the Anglican Homilies. The First Homily outlines the importance of Scripture in the life of the Christian.

Everything we need to know for salvation is in it perfectly, so let us stop running to the "Stinking puddles of men's traditions, (devised by men’s imagination), for our justification and salvation"!

The Bible verses referenced in the Homily:

Matthew 4:4; Luke 11.28; John 17.17; Psalms 19.7-10; Psalms 119.105; Luke 10.42; Hebrews 4.12; Matthew 7.24; John 12.48; John 14.23; 1 Sam 14.4-23; 2 Chronicles 20.7, 17, 29; 1 Corinthians 15.57; 1 John 5.4; Isaiah 5.13, 24; Matthew 22.29; 1 Corinthians 14.20, 37-38.

N.B. This is part 1 of 2. Part 2 of this homily will follow soon in a future episode.

Opening and closing music:

Holy, Holy, Holy, by Stephanie Devlin. Used with kind permission.
