The Books of Moses
Genesis 2:16-17-"You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
Genesis 3:21-"And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them."
Exodus 32:32-"But now, if you will forgive their sin-but if not, please blot me out of your book that you have written."

For Job said, 'It may be that my children have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts.'"
Job 42:7-8-®My anger burns against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has. Now therefore take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job shall pray for you, for 1 will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly."
The Prophets

Isaiah 6:5-7-"And I said: Woe is me! For I am lost; for l am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!' Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a buring coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: 'Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for."
Isaiah 53:5-6, 10-11-"But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turnedevery one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all... Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Jeremiah 31:34-"For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."
The Gospels
Matthew 1:21-"She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."
Mark 1:4-"John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins."
Luke 1:77-to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their
Sins.'
Matthew 26:28 "For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
Colossians 2:13-14-"And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross."
Matthew 20:28-"even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Luke 24:47-"and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem."
