Welcome to the Redhawk Publication's podcast, REDPUBPOD! Redhawk Publications is excited to have in the studio a very special author: Austin Allran.

Join today’s hosts, Richard, Patty, and Tim as they converse with author and Hickory, NC native, Austin Allran, about the writing journey that led to his first novel, The Legends of the Isle of Cats.

Our hosts were so engaged in Austin’s fascinating background (he’s an attorney and life-long public servant, having served in both the N.C. State House and Senate, as well as a current Catawba County commissioner) – they forgot to mention the title at the beginning of the pod. Let’s give it to you one more time, because this engrossing tome will keep you glued to your seat reading. This engaging mystery with Christian Existential overtones is entitled: The Legends of the Isle of Cats.

No one said writing is easy! Austin shares how the impetus of the book started in the 1990s, but his most earnest writing took place within the last ten years. His writing process is a little more unconventional, but it created a suspenseful mystery that spans generations and takes place in North Carolina. It’s a great read filled with memorable characters. Austin makes a warm and inciteful guest

The public is welcome to attend Austin’s book discussion and signing at the Patrick Beaver Memorial Library on Thursday, February 23rd from 6pm – 7pm in Hickory, NC.
