Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.

This week I thought it would be fun to revisit one of my rankings I did all the way back in Saving Throes # 18 - my top 5 Non-D&D/D20 roleplaying games. It seems like a long time ago now, and when I looked to jog my memory of what my top 5 games were back then, I completely forgot what I put on there! I was actually a little surprised. In the time since then, I have played and learned a lot more about several other games that it made me wonder what my top 5 would look like if I were to record that episode today? So I did, after reviewing the previous top 5, I made that list again for 2025. Tune in to see what games survived from the old list and what changes might have been implemented.
