In this episode of Recommentary's {Recycled}, we are joined by two of our Ex-Youth For India Colleagues Anurag & Nikhil.

Both our guests carry a blend of scientific rigour and empathetic experiences that are really engaging & structural. We discuss what made them join the Indian Development Sector, how their life experiences help them create purpose and drive their work to scale impact.

We dig deeper into storytelling and why humans as species developed this ability. As we move into the modern world, storytelling is not limited to real life based movies. Today, we have content creators who have developed mind boggling fantasy worlds that are far from current scientific possibilities yet educate us about human sociology more than anything else. We often call this genre 'Fantasy'.

So much is possible if you are willing to delve into a bit of suspension of disbelief. Our guests talk about the content they consume which helps us learn about the unparalleled strength of human imagination. We bring in varying lens to human culture and finally conclude the conversation with thought resonating to the the modern day mental health issues, especially those faced by men in the Indian society.

As a reference to Amit Varma's recent episode of 'The Seen And The Unseen' titled 'The Loneliness of The Indian Man'

"Women are not the only victims of patriarchy — men are also diminished by it."

If what we discuss in this episode resonates with you, don't forget to pass it on. It helps us create more such content.
