Lady Phyllis Okon never imagined she'd become a medium at age 67. After losing her husband during the pandemic, loneliness led her to explore mediumship as a way to connect with him. What began as personal healing evolved into an unexpected second career—one that would eventually earn the endorsement of renowned medium Thomas John.
From her fascinating background as CEO of a global transportation company she built with her late husband to her remarkable ability to connect with those who have crossed over, Lady Phyllis brings a refreshing practicality to the spiritual world. She demystifies common misconceptions about mediumship, explaining that connecting with spirit is not an innate gift but a skill anyone can develop with practice and awareness.
"Spirits are quite polite," she explains with the casual confidence of someone discussing dinner guests rather than the deceased. "They're not going to interfere with your everyday life." This balanced perspective stems from her unique journey through yoga, writing, and self-discovery—practices that heightened her sensitivity to energies around her long before she formally embraced mediumship.
Lady Phyllis offers crystal-clear insights about the difference between psychic abilities (connecting to the universe for guidance about past, present, and future) versus mediumship (connecting specifically with loved ones who have passed). For those curious about developing their own abilities, she shares practical advice about starting with automatic writing, reading transformative books, and establishing an online presence.
The warmth of the mediumship community surprised her, providing not just a new career but a healing space after losing her husband of 48 years. "It's like falling into a down comforter," she describes, encouraging listeners who feel called to this path: "Don't think—do."

hyllis Okon co-founded BLS Limousine Service with her late husband almost fifty years ago. A former social studies teacher, she quit teaching to run the back office from her tiny kitchen in Syosset, Long Island. The company grew to three offices, and after her husband's death, she and her two sons expanded to eleven more, including a flagship office in London. BLS stands today proudly woman-owned and world-renowned.

After her husband passed, she ventured into mediumship classes, eventually being singled out of her mentorship and endorsed by Seatbelt Psychic Thomas John.

As Lady Phyllis, her ability to connect and give evidential information has built this new venture to many monthly sessions and a steady clientele. Combining her love of teaching with her many talents, she has now opened several courses sharing her knowledge and demystifying mediumship to enable a new generation to embrace it.

Phyllis has traveled many roads; a teacher, CEO, best-selling and award-winning author, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her biggest fear was becoming irrelevant as she got older. Her unique experiences have made her a compassionate and understanding medium, CEO, and author, proving you don't have to give anything up because of age!
