E2: My Beliefs, Values, and Philosophy of Life.
Manage episode 343975972 series 3247255
Intro
Welcome to Rapping PE! This is the place where we explore precarity, pedagogy, and physical education! This podcast is dedicated to physical educators of the future, past, and present.
Episode 2 looks to quickly explore my beliefs and values and how that has shaped my life philosophy, and my philosophy as an educator. I hope to provide a clear presentation of who I am as an individual and how that shapes what I do as a health & physical educator. It is a topic area that I feel is typically ignored, or forgotten about after the completion of your philosophy of education in college whereas it should be incorporated as part of our reflective growth as an educator. I believe that it is okay for your philosophy to change over time, after all, I am an educator because I was a student and I am a student because I am an educator.
I look forward to revisiting this podcast next year in a reflective manner to see if my beliefs, values and life philosophy have changed and how so. I also look to further expand upon my philosophy of life throughout the year and update you on it. I believe that in order for my listeners to understand why I am engaging with the podcast format to showcase an interconnectedness, I need to be reflective of my practices and demonstrate how I am incorporating my beliefs, values, and philosophies into Rapping PE.
