Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

Do you know who this lovely lady is? She’s legendary violinist Maud Powell, at the turn of the century one of the finest, and most famous violinists in the world. You’ll find out a bit about her fascinating life in the first segment of the show with three examples of her virtuosity. We could easily have devoted an entire show to her, but I encourage you to find out more about her and her career at the website maudpowell dot org. Besides Maud Powell, Eddie Durham also gets a birthday segment this week. We’ll also have an “awful” segment, and two segment reflecting recent news stories, one about alleys and one about toys. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the link above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.

THANKS FOR LISTENING! ENJOY THE SHOW!
