In our current sermon series, Pastor Matt is teaching us the ways in which God’s people can participate in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Last week we learned how the Spirit shows his power through believers who connect with each other. In today’s message we will look at Peter’s imprisonment after the martyrdom of James to see how the Spirit uses corporate prayer in the life of the church.
Praying with others in their trials actually strengthens us in our own. And when the church witnesses God’s power together, discovering more about him together, it is more powerful than an individual discovering God alone.
