GOOD DEEDS Host Nanette Wiser chatted with one of St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce's most interesting members, Scott Callison, Market Leader or Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) St. Petersburg Branch who sponsors the Entrepreneur Academy. Callison is also a member of the chamber's Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association. He's passionate about supporting entrepreneurs in the communityl.
LMCU is a supported of non-profit organizations including One Community Grocery Co-Op helping those dealing with food insecurity, with 150 families and individuals currently enrolled. On 10/19 from 2-5 pm, join them for Jazz in the Park at Child's Park Lake for food, fun, music and prizes as they look to grow to 300 co-op members in the next year. See Fox 13 story here. ABOUT SCOTT Scott Callison holds an MBA from The University of Wisconsin- Whitewater and earned his Bachelor of Science in HR Management from Point Park University in Pittsburg, PA. With more than 20 years of financial industry experience, Scott Callison is now with LMCU as the credit union’s St. Petersburg Market Leader. Scott is passionate about arts in education and STEAM initiatives, and he currently sits on the Take Stock in Children Committee with the Pinellas Education Foundation. Active in the community, Scott is a mentor at Northeast High School, and volunteers with the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg, the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, and other organizations throughout the Tampa Bay area. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Institute for Economic Evolution and Creative Clay. He and his wife Jen also own Code Wiz, where children learn, create, collaborate and gain the problem-solving savvy they need to compete in a changing world. They love and support their two boys and a fur baby — together they enjoy all the art, music, museums, restaurants, and outdoor activities Tampa Bay has to offer. In his spare time, Scott plays music, likes outdoor sports (paddle boarding, biking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, camping) and going to Rays, Lightning, Bucs and Rowdies games.
