You don't have to wait to the new year to make a resolution! There's a 3-3-3 rule for good habit adoption: According to this rule, making something a habit often works in sets of three. The first three days may feel difficult, but once you reach the fourth day, it starts to stick. This pattern extends to weeks – get through three weeks, and by the fourth, it feels like part of your routine. The same applies to months. BAD HABITS One way to kick bad habits is to actively replace unhealthy routines with new, healthy ones slowly but surely. Give up sugar, but allow yourself a cheat day. Bfore you try to change a habit, identify why you want to change. When the reason is more personal — you want to be around for your kids; you want to travel more — you have a stronger motivation and a reminder to refer back to during struggles. You don't have to aim for perfect, just do better! Find a friend and make a pact, look for support groups online and in person and when tackling a diet

- Limit unhealthy foods and eat more vegetables, fruits, fibers.
- Drink water, stay hydrated and avoid sugared beverages.
- Exercise regularly, be active, get outdoors and walk, swim - make it fun!
- Reduce sitting and screen time.
- Get good sleep with regular bedtimes.
- Limit alcohol use, or not at all.
- Get regular check-ups with your physician, dentist and eye doctor.
- Practice kindness to others...and yourself.
- Create a personal "good habit" plan and track your progress daily.
