It's been more than 12 months since the Senate inquiry into regional bank closures handed down its final report and yet the Albanese Government is yet to officially respond to the inquiry's recommendations.
In the meantime, another five regional communities are facing a future without a single brick and mortar bank after Bendigo Bank announced the closure of several branches.
So why has it taken so long for the government to act?
