Charlie Kirk Was Our Generation’s MLK—And We Killed Him
Manage episode 505849234 series 3545502
I was 13 when Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated—and now, at 70, I feel the ache of history repeating itself.
Yesterday, Charlie Kirk was murdered. A man who stood boldly, unapologetically, and consistently for truth, for freedom, and for the values that made this country extraordinary.
In this deeply personal and passionate episode, I share my heartbreak, my outrage, and my hope. I compare what Charlie stood for to the same fierce, faith-rooted nonviolence that guided MLK and Gandhi. He was not perfect—but he was powerful. And he was willing to take the blows so others could stand taller in their truth.
If you’re someone who’s rejoicing in his death, I challenge you to listen anyway. Maybe this is your crack of light. Maybe it’s time to reflect on what it really means to be human, to evolve, and to build a country on love instead of division.
💔 This episode is a plea. For all of us.
🕊️ For truth. For unity. For radical responsibility.
🛑 For the end of political assassination disguised as karma.
Let’s reflect love back into the world instead of multiplying hate.
📍Recorded from the depths of grief—and the depths of hope.
