It was October 1917 that brought socialism to the world - and Cuba's revolution that brought October into the American hemisphere, the Caribbean and Latin America, and has been a lasting inspiration for the peoples of the Americas striving for freedom from imperialist domination and the US Monroe Doctrine of the Americas being the USA's sphere of imperial domination in particular. SHe talks about the ongoing effects of the Criminal Blockated - inspiration to strangle the Cuban nation and make er"her people scream" since the 'Cuban Missile Crisis' of 1962 and tightened by Helmes-Burton and. in particular Trump's designation Cuba as a "State sponsor of Terrorism" - that makes it almost impossible for Cuba to trade with the world, and in particular to trade and buy vital equipment, spare parts and medicines. Yet despite this, while US imperialism exports colour revolutions, missiles, bombs and wars for regime change, whilst leaving its people languishing in poverty, Cuba cares for its people, provides universal education, housing, food, clothing, shelter, social and medical care, and exports doctors and development aid - as well as the products of its ground breaking science and biotechnology industries.
