Standard Uranium Vice President of Exploration Sean Hillacre joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce a key milestone for the company. The previously signed letter of intent with Collective Metals Inc.—which outlined a pathway for Collective to acquire a 75% interest in the Rocas Project through a three-year earn-in option—has now advanced to a definitive property option agreement. The Rocas Project spans 4,002 hectares in the highly prospective eastern Athabasca Basin region of northern Saskatchewan, an area renowned for hosting world-class uranium deposits. Strategically located approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Cameco’s Key Lake Mine and Mill complex and 72 kilometres south of the current Athabasca Basin margin, Rocas holds a prime position in one of the world’s most prolific uranium districts. Initially staked by Standard Uranium in May 2023, the project was recently expanded by an additional 931 hectares, further consolidating the company’s footprint across this underexplored corridor. Hillacre emphasized that the expanded land package significantly enhances the exploration potential, particularly given its structural and geological setting. As part of its technical work, Standard Uranium recently completed a high-resolution ground gravity survey along key conductive exploration trends at Rocas. These surveys provided valuable subsurface insights, helping to refine the company’s geological understanding and sharpen the definition of future high-priority drill targets. Hillacre also confirmed that the company’s technical team is now on-site at Rocas, conducting detailed mapping, prospecting, and sampling programs. The goal is to ground-truth historical uranium showings observed at surface and to advance the project toward drilling readiness. Grab samples collected during this phase will be sent to the Saskatchewan Research Council Geoanalytical Laboratories in Saskatoon for comprehensive geochemical analysis. With the agreement finalized and fieldwork underway, Standard Uranium is positioning the Rocas Project as a high-potential discovery opportunity within its growing portfolio of Athabasca Basin uranium assets. #proactiveinvestors #standarduraniumltd #tsxv #stnd #otcqb #sttdf #mining #uranium #sundogproject #UraniumExploration #AthabascaBasin #DavidsonRiver #MiningInnovation #Geophysics #AmbientNoiseTomography #ResourceInvesting #FleetSpace #UraniumDiscovery #MiningNews
