C3 Metals Inc CEO Dan Symons talked with Proactive about the company’s upcoming maiden drill program at the Khaleesi project in Peru. Symons called the receipt of permits “a very significant milestone” and highlighted the challenges of operating in Peru, especially securing social licence from local communities. He said the company is proud of its corporate social responsibility work in the region. Khaleesi is described as a top geological target in C3’s portfolio, with large copper soil anomalies including up to 1,260 ppm copper—far exceeding typical exploration excitement thresholds. Symons noted that rock chip samples have returned up to 2.8% copper and 6 grams of gold per ton. The drill program will consist of 14 holes over 6,000 meters, focused on both skarn and suspected porphyry targets. C3 Metals is fully funded for the program and expects to start drilling in September. Symons said: “We have a chance for looking at the size of the anomaly on our ground for a very sizable deposit… It’s never had a drill hole.” Alongside Khaleesi, C3 is advancing two other projects in Jamaica—Super Block and Bellas Gate. All three projects are fully financed, and the company anticipates a news-heavy second half of the year. For more interviews like this, visit Proactive’s YouTube channel.
