In this second episode Cody and I discuss the historical context of the Trinity. Spiral Dynamics informs us regarding the Traditional level of consciousness which dominated during the Roman empire. In the Traditional era a person did not question authority. So no one could question the Caesar who represented ultimate authority. The empire saw Christianity as a way to consolidate its citizens under one religion. Making Jesus God eliminated all other claims from different religions. Confession to Christianity and its creeds was the authority determining one's loyalty. Politically the term for going outside the boundary was traitor. Religiously the term was heretic. But as spiritual consciousness has evolved many things have changed over the last 2 millennia. Now is the time to question the handed-down confessional creed of the Trinity.
