The news of Texas covered today includes:

Our Lone Star story of the day: Democrats’ big show sells no tickets: Texas House Republicans to pass Congressional redistricting maps this evening.
Democrats illegally used the Texas House floor sleep-in stunt for political fundraising via video feed. This is very much against the rules. After being called on it, they altered their floor feed of the stunt.
Rep. Collier has indeed filed suit against Speaker Burrows and his escort policy. Burrows should know better, this is a future crimes arrangement. Despite the claims, however, Collier was not confined to the House floor, she chose that but overall the policy is fundamentally wrong.
Democrat protesters were cleared from the Capitol last night as DPS learned of a violent threat made to shoot and kill “those who will not allow lawmakers to leave.” Showing once again how ignorant of the situation the Leftist backers are.
Interesting AP story on Democrat experiences being watched at all times by DPS officers: Even at the Grocery Store, Texas Troopers Don’t Let Democrats Out of Sight After Walkout.
HD117 state Rep. Philip Cortez draws primary challenger because he didn’t leave to break quorum – makes it clear Dems do not approve of “working across the aisle.”
Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.

Texas law on Ten Commandments Public School Display blocked by district court judge in San Antonio. – “Harm” comes from not obeying God’s laws, not the other way around. This document is central the entire American Experiment in the Rule of Law above persons.
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Again Confirms 2026 Re-election Bid; Sen. Perry (SD28) announces for re-election, and; SD31’s Sen. Sparks does same.
