Welcome back to the fourth episode of Pop To The Loo with Cass and Sarah. Joining them this week is the beautiful, courageous and witty Brit.

During this episode Cass and Sarah interview Brit on the following: -

  • living with two autoimmune diseases involving Brit’s liver and gut,

  • being diagnosed at 21 years old whilst at University,

  • the investigations carried out,

  • having an adverse reaction during a colonoscopy,

  • Brit’s treatment plan including 4 weekly infusions,

  • hospitalisations,

  • managing symptoms with nutrition, stress management and a naturopathic outlook where possible,

  • living as a pescatarian,

  • working with a nutritionist,

  • the necessity of protein in the diet to support with IBD,

  • using marijuana for managing IBD symptoms including pain management, appetite, and psychological health (it is legal in Canada!),

  • the importance of getting a second, and even third, opinion,

  • educating others on IBD.

This episode introduces yet another incredible woman living with an IBD. Brit is one of the most inspirational, positive and empowering women living on this planet who was an absolute pleasure to interview. Brit provides further insight into how she balances her life, by incorporating her treatment plan, pain management and dietary restrictions into this, and dealing with the judgment experienced from being diagnosed with a hidden illness. Brit will leave you feeling inspired, empowered and raring to fight your IBD. Cass and Sarah can’t wait to have Brit on the show again. You will no doubt fall in love with Brit as much as Sarah and Cass have!

For anyone who wants to hysterically laugh, not listen to anything politically correct, empathise and relate to two professional women who continue to work far too many hours, study when they have no free time to do so, date all the wrong and right men, love a glass of vino and have so many poo stories that will ensure Cass, in particular, will never date again, make sure you tune in.
