Our guest this week is film maker & author Andrew Bennett! Andrew has documented and filmed videos the Deftones, Katy Perry, The Dresden Dolls, Jonas Brothers, Nickelback and more! That “more” includes the subject of his book “Eruption in the Canyon: 212 Days and Nights with the Genius of Eddie Van Halen”. We talked to Andrew about his inspirations and influences. We talked about some pretty great behind the scenes stories of what Eddie Van Halen was REALLY like and how things went down at the infamous 5150 Van Halen recording studios. And from the outside looking in, it would appear that Eddie Van Halen clearly favored one of these bands over the other - The Jonas Brothers and Nickelback.
