Jon Lapidow began his military career in 1989 and became a Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot after commissioning as an officer in 1993. He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004–2005, and later returned to Rutgers University as an Assistant Professor of Military Science, mentoring future Army officers. Jon holds a bachelor's degree in economics and a master’s degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. In his final years of service, he led the New Jersey Counter Drug Task Force, supporting major federal and state agencies in the fight against fentanyl. After honorably retiring in 2019 following 30 years of service, Jon relocated to Franklin County with his wife Chrissie and began his new career as a Certified Firearms Instructor.
