The ship arrives at the Harpy mining island and makes a discovery about its supernatural origins. While the Captain and Cass go to negotiate with the Harpy leader for an enslaved contact, Nonius and Vern are sent out to recon the area. But their own instincts and vices lead them into trouble, bringing the fury of the Harpy garrison down on them and forcing a rescue by an unlikely ally.
