I've known Mark roughly around 2 years but it felt like 7 years to me. I met him at a coffee shop while he was slanging some latte for me. Little did I know, that was the start of our friendship. I won't forget that day. It marked significance in my life that clarified the course of my greatest desires. Becoming a husband and a father one day. Mark spoke a word to me that day that not only postured me to pursue entrepreneurship, it also matured my understanding of who God is. Inherently, Mark has a fathering heart from how he leads worship, working in the coffee industry, and a Jui Jitsu coach. Both in his meekness and boldness, Mark desires to gather people, where we are challenged, keep asking questions to understand each other that goes beyond our differences. To reconcile our biases. As a student in the faith, he learns to embrace the historical roots of a family deep within the spectrum of his own and of humanity itself. His desire for familial bond and community both explores the blurred lines of languages, breaking the walls that separate us as people. In this conversation, we funnel down the elusive massivity of our western culture down to the intricate intimacy of how it is to be a son and a father.
