With US President Donald Trump back in office and an outspoken critic of environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, the start of his second term has triggered a renewed wave of anti-ESG sentiment across sectors and industries. But what does this mean for real assets investors? Is this political shift changing how capital is deployed? Or is ESG still firmly embedded in investment strategy?

In PAT Cast #28, we examine whether the anti-ESG backlash is gaining traction in the world of real assets, or whether it’s simply business as usual, with commentary on the role of sustainability in the real assets ecosystem and discussions focused on government policy and targets in different jurisdictions.

Your host, Andrew Belt, is joined by:

  • Sam Carson, Head of Sustainability, Valuations and Advisory Services, CBRE UK
  • Ed Pugh, PATRIZIA Head of Investment Management Sustainability
  • Aaron Scott, PATRIZIA Head of Sustainable Transformation Infrastructure
