Trigger Warning: In honour of Maternal Mental Health Month, I’m opening up about one of the hardest chapters of my life—my postpartum experience. This episode isn’t full of tips or how-tos. It’s the real story of how I went from feeling prepared and confident, to completely lost. I want to offer a gentle heads-up that this episode includes discussion of postpartum anxiety, birth trauma, and feelings of deep overwhelm. If you’re in a tender place, please take care while listening. If you've ever doubted yourself, felt swallowed by the pressure of parenting, or wondered if it would ever get better, I want you to know: you are not alone.
What I’m sharing in this episode:

  • How my birth experience shook my confidence even though it didn’t initially feel traumatic.
  • The shame and guilt I carried around feeding, failing, and not feeling like myself.
  • Carrying the invisible weight of expectations while navigating postpartum recovery.
  • The quiet breaking point that shifted everything and the lifeline that led me back to myself.

Wherever you are in your parenting journey, please remember: you are doing enough, and you are enough. If you’re struggling, it doesn’t mean you’re failing—it means you’re human.
