Manage episode 500884071 series 2290004
š āThe name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.ā ā Proverbs 18:10(NIV)
Jonah ran from God, but he couldnāt outrun His mercy. When a storm raged and the sea threatened to destroy him, God didnāt let Jonah drownāHe preserved him in the belly of a great fish. What looked like punishment was actually protection, and what felt like a prison became Jonahās place of prayer, hearing, and obedience.
In this message, Pastor Josh shares from Jonahās journey and shows us that:
- Godās storms are often His mercy, designed to bring us back.
- Our purpose is not found in our gift but in our obedience.
- Grace often shows up in the place of our greatest discomfort.
- Just as Jonah was preserved three days in the fish, Jesus was preserved three days in the graveāso we might be safe forever in Him.
