Your Bold Reinvent: Taking Brave, Visible Action
Manage episode 500316874 series 2887129
One of the most common traps in reinvention is over-preparation. We convince ourselves we’re “not quite ready yet” when in reality, we’re just afraid. We hide behind the safety of research, planning, or skill-building; waiting for a perfect moment that never comes. Here’s the truth: Your reinvention will only become real when it becomes visible. If you keep it in your notebook, it will stay an idea. When you take it public, it becomes a movement. Consider Vera Wang.
She was a competitive figure skater in her teens, then worked at Vogue magazine for 15 years, becoming one of its youngest senior fashion editors.
At 40, after being passed over for a promotion, she decided to design her own wedding dress, and that one decision turned into a fashion empire. Today, Vera Wang is one of the world’s most recognised bridal designers. She didn’t start young. She didn’t start “in fashion school.” She started bold. Her reinvention wasn’t tentative; it was visible. And the world couldn’t ignore it.
Joshua 1:9 is God’s rallying cry to every leader stepping into a new assignment:
“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Notice; God didn’t say, “Be strong and feel courageous.”
He said, “Be strong and be courageous.” Courage is not the absence of fear—it’s the decision to move while fear is still present. Bold action doesn’t come after confidence; it creates confidence. You act, then your faith grows. You move, then the clarity comes.
