Fall prevention is a major public health concern because of the physical and psychological risks associated with falls. Loss of visual function is a major risk factor for falls and may be a major contributor to fall risk among older adults. Dr. Emily Schehlein interviews Dr. C. Gustavo De Moraes and medical student Alexander F. Dagi on the relationships between rates of glaucomatous visual field progression, fear of falling, history of falls, and ancestry.
