Lisa Gillard is a good friend who graciously gave mecreative license to play with her story to present it a bit differently than I normally do. What we created was a picture of the life of a survivor. Lisa vulnerably shared the gritty day-to-day challenges survivors face to brave the past and the present in an attempt to deal with the criminality of ritual abuse, the malevolence of the abusers, the toll of the abuse on the mind and body, as well as the stigma of society she bravely faces as she wages her social media campaign. I hope you find this interview as intriguing as I did. Thank you, Lisa, for your trust. You have my permission to pay me back later. A shout-out and a big thank you to Monique Koven of “The Healing Trauma Podcast” (check the podcast out if you haven’t, lots of healing resources to be had there) for introducing us years ago, and for making today possible. This is part one of a two-part series.
