The story follows Martin, an ordinary man trying to make ends meet in wartime Paris. He’s hired to help Jamblier, a butcher, smuggle contraband meat across the city — a risky job given the German patrols and strict rationing. The meat is divided into four heavy suitcases, and the journey must be made on foot, under cover of night.
