Matt Cvetic is a music lover, but only because the Communist Party says he is. Comrade Kafka has assigned him to love music. Kafka asks "Nervous Comrade Cvetic?" Matt says "No, just annoyed. I don't like this new assignment. Comrade Porcini may be a great violinist, but the last man in the world to care whether or not he is permitted to enter the United States is me". Kafka says "You care now, don't you comrade? Matt says "No". Kafka says "Yes, you do because you're a music lover, and all the other lovers of pure music here in America will refuse to let politics deprive you of Porcini's genius". Matt says "It won't work Kafka, Porcini was active as a communist in Europe. The American government will never approve his application for a visa".
