Can losing feel good? Well, I guess not… but at this point in the season, when we're not playing for anything other than player improvement and a draft position, this loss didn't sting as bad as I thought that it would… The Washington Redskins lost to the Philadelphia Eagles (37-27), which brings their season record to (3-11)… It is always tough to lose to a division rival, especially if it means that they stay in the playoff hunt, but this one left me coming away with a lot of positives in regards to the young players that finished the game… Not to mention that this was one of the best played games I have seen from this offense all year long, and by far (and wide) the best performance we have seen from Dwayne Haskins to date, he has been continually improving week to week and this game was the culmination of his progression since he became the starter for this team... The problem is that the defense did not show up and allowed the Eagles to run (and pass) all over the field… it was to the point where I had zero confidence that the D would be able to stop drives towards the end of the game… after several lead changes throughout the game, the Eagles were able to climb back on top with only around 30 seconds left on the clock, it was just to much to overcome and too little time, as the Redskins fell short on their final drive… In Episode Twenty-Six, I cover the good, the bad and the ugly of the Redskins fourteenth regular season game of the 2019 regular season against the Philadelphia Eagles… I provide an overview of the game, discuss Dwayne Haskins first break-out game, my excitement for what he will do over the next two weeks, I begrudgingly talk about the defense, the defensive coaching staff and how they ultimately cost us the game, and I tackle the youth movement that has been showing up big and played strong yesterday… I take a deep dive into the continued growth and development of Dwayne Haskins, from his development week to week to where he will be at the beginning of next season... I also spend a few minutes discussing the new Saga that is "the Bruce Allen Firing Watch", the speculation that Urban Meyer in the Owner’s Box brought, the need for a change in the front office, potential GM and Head Coach candidates and the future of this teams Front Office and Franchise… I close the Podcast with a look at the final two weeks of the season against the pitiful NFC East and provide my prediction for the upcoming week sixteen game against the New York Giants, which is a very important game for draft position and Eli Manning's career record… As always, enjoy my unsolicited and unrealistically optimistic opinions on all things Washington Redskins in this Episode covering the 2019 Week Fifteen Loss to the Philadelphia Eagles… If you are enjoying the Podcast (and I hope that you are), please subscribe, leave a rating or review and tell a friend, it really helps to reach a wider audience and I would be very grateful… if you don't already, please follow me on Twitter @HTTRChamps and as always, #HTTR --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/offseasonchampions/message
