The Canterbury Tales: Geoffrey Chaucer - Part 2
Manage episode 395136484 series 3332422
We now interrupt our interruption of our regular service with discussion of Geoffrey Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales" beginning with the "General Prologue."
Dr Peter Groves continues with us and reads to us in Medieval "english." This episode we introduce you to our unreliable narrator—"Geoff"—consider whether Medieval society can really be split into "those who fight, those who pray, and those who work," discuss whether or not the knight is the greatest role model for chivalrous behaviour, and begin our discussion of the religious characters.
