Light at end of tunnel for flooding problems at Pettigo

There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for flooding problems at Pettigo.

A number of premises in the town are said to be continuously under threat of flood water due to the nearby River Termon.

Over the years, several buildings have been damaged as a result.

Now following a cross border meeting, surveys and flood mitigation works look set to begin next year.

Cllr Michael McMahon says while works should have begun long ago this development is hugely positive and every effort will be made to ensure they do start in 2026:
