Theology of Time - Eric Muhammad
Manage episode 513296219 series 3511196
Hungry for clarity on discipline, destiny, and who gets to define both? We start with a simple challenge—one meal a day while living an athlete’s schedule—and turn it into a blueprint for sustainable change. Instead of crash-cutting from three meals to one, we outline a measured path that respects workload, metabolism, and sanity: remove meals gradually, extend fasting windows, and make the single meal count. The payoff isn’t just better energy; it’s a mindset that treats restraint as a skill you build, not a stunt you suffer.
From there we open the lens to the Theology of Time and why chronology steers belief. Drawing from the Nation of Islam’s 1972 lecture series and the history of Mosque Maryam, we explore a core claim: every prophecy and nation has a term. That frame recasts how we read Moses, Jesus, and the Mahdi; how we map scripture onto Black life in America; and how we understand the role of America as the modern archetype of Babylon, Rome, Egypt, and Nineveh. We dig into the NOI teaching that God is man—with hierarchy determined by knowledge, wisdom, and understanding—and explain why “God in the person of Master Fard Muhammad” sits at the center of this era’s claim to authority.
We also challenge narratives designed to blunt that claim, dismantling rumors about imprisonment and borrowed facts, and showing how such stories aim to sever power from its source. Practical study meets practice: the “lessons” as concentrate and the books, lectures, and articles as the water that makes them drinkable. We clarify the seven works published during Elijah Muhammad’s lifetime, parse how prayer and Quranic reading are approached, and connect media imagery to self-concept—because who plays the gods on screen shapes how we see ourselves off screen. The throughline is consistent: read the time correctly, build capacity in steps, and accept your own to be yourself.
