In this week's sermon, Pastor Devan addressed the issue of compartmentalizing faith, a common tendency to separate our spiritual lives from our daily activities. Using Acts 6:1-7 as a foundation, he examined how the early church appointed Stephen and others to serve in practical roles while remaining deeply connected to their faith. The message highlighted the importance of character over career, urging us to integrate our faith into every aspect of life, from work to personal relationships. We were challenged to transition from being mere "believers" to true "disciples" of Jesus, allowing our faith to influence our decisions and actions throughout the week, not just on Sundays. The sermon called us to live an integrated, mission-driven life, following the example of Stephen, who demonstrated that our spiritual life should animate everything we do.
