We’ve got a good one for all of you today! It is an honor to have The Godfather of player development on the podcast. Coach David Thorpe joins us for an episode that our true hoop fans will enjoy.

David Thorpe has coached and inspired players at all levels for over three decades. He has coached some of the top players in the game and is known as The Godfather of player development. He was an ESPN analyst for 10 years, is a partner and analyst for TrueHoop, and is the author of "Basketball is Jazz: Stories and Lessons From a Basketball Lifer.” We dive deep and pick Coach Thorpe’s brain about coaching and player development, but he also shares some stories about growing up in Florida, the blacktop game, Udonis Haslem, Jerry Stackhouse, Stephon Marbury, coaching idols, developing players both on and off the court, his Book, TrueHoop and MUCH more!

We can’t thank coach enough for taking the time to share his journey with us. We learned so much about the game and enjoyed all of the interesting stories shared. This episode is a very small sample size of what you will learn from reading his book, so be sure to grab one for a great read! Also be sure to check out TrueHoop for incredible basketball insight and content. You will NOT be disappointed!

Thank you Coach David Thorpe!
